Sea Level Rise Blog Explores Faster Than Expected Temperature Rise in September Edition

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a branch of the United Nations that is responsible for assessing the science surrounding climate change. Every six to seven years, the IPCC releases a comprehensive assessment report that analyzes any research that has been conducted on climate change up to that point. The most important piece of information gathered from the sixth report is that atmospheric temperatures will experience an overall increase of 5.4 degrees Fahrenheit, faster than expected.
